What's with the coin?

So why does MBA have it's own Coin?

THE COIN:
Challenge coins exist to demonstrate acts of excellence. MBA created the coin concept to highlight the star logo:

In 2019, the Marietta Business Association introduced the star logo. There should be teeth to what the logo represents so members and guests can easily identify with the brand. Highlights of the star logo include:
• The inner circle. The Marietta Business Association inner circle represent all of the members. “We ALL exist to support one another.” This represents the commitment of members to actively support and refer each other so business can grow collectively within the MBA.
• The “STREET” within the inner circle. The divided line represents a street, which goes both ways. Members of the MBA choose to support the local community and give back. Members of the local community know that they have to support MBA business owners. The more business grows, the more given back to the community. It’s a “Two-way Street”.
• The points of the star “Pierce” the local community, connecting us as One.
• The MBA acknowledges the local community with Networking, Events, Education, Tourism, and Government, and encourages its members to plug in and get involved. The more you give, the more your brand grows. Your business will grow too!

UNIQUE to 2019:
The theme for 2019 is “A Year of Purpose”
The outer ring of the coin has inscribed Brent Rittersdorf, 2019 President, #Purpose and Bronson (Bronson was Brent’s dog that simply loved to catch the frisbee, hence teaching Brent that purpose is simple if you do the same thing over repeatedly with passion.
The 3 stars have numbers of 12, 300, and 150. 12 Board members, 300 active members, and 150 is the number of new contacts members can generate if they actively participate in MBA.
The back of the coin is branded with High Caliber Realty. As a Broker, Brent’s “Purpose” is to help his clients and referrals make wise decisions in real estate that produce favorable results. Brent paid for the 2019 coin out of his own funds.
